About the accidents:the first one shows Harold Wright in the Penn-Harris Special going through the inside fence in the main event, the second one Doc MacKenzie and his "brand new Dreyer-Miller" in the consy. No injuries.

Mineola Fairgrounds a 1/2 mile dirt oval which was originally opened in 1866. The first car race was held in 1922, and midget racing from the 1930s. The track was closed to racing in 1949, and was demolished in 1951 to make way for Nassau County Courthouse. Billy Arnold won this event 1929 September 21st

Amazing. Always wondered what it was like at the Syracuse mile during this era.
No roll bar. Makes no sense.
This track was put on the calendar with a lot of fanfare while Kyalami, Zandvoort and The Osterreichring would disappear in the next 2 years. Nearly 40 years later, this parade is still on the calendar.

Very cool. Looks like progressive banking but pretty much the shape as later years. Probably natural dirt and no water truck.
I have heard that the reading fairgrounds speedway was awesome, years ahead of it's time with its sprint car and stock car series.

Over the years, it's been amusing that actual race time has shortened noticeably. When speeds reach 300mph, the Indy500 may only take a little more than an hour and a half! LOL! ... Waiting for when cars 'lose their wheels' and turn into Star Wars Landspeeders and are powered by a 'Mr. Fusion Home Energy Reactor'.

Hm i find only this day the Donkey Sweepstakes át South Milwaukee. One week later was the next Milwaukee Mile át Wisconsin State Fairgrounds

Im not really sure what im looking at at onset, not REALLY sure the track is Milwaukee after being labeled as such, pretty sure it is based on all of the pics ive seen. Can you elaborate? Please dont mistake me for those hoardes of negative ninnies that always gripe on internet. Do you have a reference, im from South Milwaukee AND grew up in West Allis 2 miles from the mile. Don't forget the 1966 12 Hrs of Sebring where his car would not start to begin the race, got it running after all the other cars got a head start, raced to the front, and then his engine quit on him about less than a 1/4 mile from the finish. He was so disappointed that he pushed the car to the finish line causing him to be disqualified.
Any information about this race, the cars, the track would be appreciated, never knew there was a track in Hammond. Ugly flip right at end of video…,did helive?

Hogy ezt a piszkos eszmét örök életre kitöröljük a rohadékok agyából . ( kórozs lajos , molnár csaba , nidermüller péter , bauer tamás , fekete győr andrás , orosz anna , és sorolhatnám reggelig a söpredékek nevét ) Ezek ma ugyan úgy a hazájuk ellen tesznek meg mindent , mint az 1919-es ócska rohadékok . ( jászi oszkárok , lengyel gyulák , lukács györgyök . ) Mindet fel kellett volna 1919-ben akasztani , mindet , aki csak egy hajszálnyit is érintett volt a patkánylázadásban .

I was six years old and saw most of these cars at Milwaukee the week following. I specifically remember the six wheel car. I had a toy of Ted Horn and his Maserati;
Did you get a program? Im from West Allis, 92nd and Beecher, 2 miles from Famed Mile, started goin in 69’, could hear em run from backyard lol.
Saw a vid on another site where a mutt did something similar, and the result was the complete opposite of this. If they valued that little dog's life, they should not have let it anywhere close to those dangerous fireworks.
